Junior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support the organization's network infrastructure, the full-time remote Junior Network Engineer will manage network design, implementation, and maintenance while ensuring reliability, performance, and security across various environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle network engineering activities including planning, design, implementation, and documentation of network infrastructure
• Analyze existing network systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for enhanced capacity and reliability
• Monitor network performance, respond to incidents, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for critical network support

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field with a focus on telecommunications/security
• JNCIA, CCNA, or equivalent vendor network associate level certification
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in network engineering
• Knowledge of TCP/IP stack, OSI model, and enterprise-level firewall management
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX/BSD operating systems in a server capacity
