Junior Oracle DBA
Job Summary
To support managed service engagements, the full-time Junior Oracle DBA will optimize production systems, maintain the performance and security of Oracle databases, and assist in building Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions while working remotely with a team of DBAs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and support backup, recovery, and routine maintenance operations for Oracle databases
- Assist with database installations, patching, upgrades, and follow ITSM/ITIL processes
- Collaborate with enterprise clients to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience supporting Oracle databases through academic, internship, or professional settings
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience
- Understanding of Oracle Database concepts and architecture, including familiarity with versions 11g through 23ai
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status due to ITAR requirements
- Ability to obtain an AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification within 12 months of employment
