Junior Penetration Tester

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer I, Cybersecurity Junior Penetration Tester.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic penetration testing of networks, applications, and systems
• Support red team simulations and exercises under senior team supervision
• Help identify security vulnerabilities and contribute to technical findings and reports

Required Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of experience or equivalent foundational knowledge in cybersecurity or IT
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, web technologies, and common vulnerabilities
• Basic familiarity with security tools such as Nmap, Kali Linux, or similar
• Willingness to pursue and obtain a penetration testing certification (e.g., GPEN or equivalent) within the first 6 months of employment
