Junior Python Scraping Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of advanced web data extraction systems, the full-time Junior Python Scraping Engineer will build and maintain crawlers using Python and Scrapy, investigate modern website data loading techniques, and debug scrapers for stability in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build spiders using Python and Scrapy, and utilize Playwright for dynamic websites
• Extract data from various formats including HTML, JSON, and APIs while debugging and improving crawler performance
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn and implement best practices in web scraping

Required qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of Python and familiarity with HTML, CSS selectors, and XPath
• Experience with web scraping tools such as Scrapy and Playwright
• Ability to inspect websites using browser DevTools and understand JSON and REST-like APIs
• Demonstrated patience and problem-solving skills in debugging complex issues
• Clean code mindset and a strong sense of responsibility
