Junior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Junior Security Engineer for a full-time remote position, this role will focus on security monitoring, incident handling, and alert investigation, utilizing Splunk to identify and escalate potential threats while supporting core security operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts in Splunk to identify suspicious or malicious activity
• Support incident handling activities, including triage, investigation, escalation, and documentation of security events
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve security issues and improve monitoring and response processes

Required qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, IT support, or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for searching, investigating, and analyzing security events
• Experience supporting or participating in incident handling, including alert triage, escalation, and documentation
• Foundational knowledge of network and cloud security concepts, including firewalls, IAM, and AWS security controls
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
