Junior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Information Security team, the full-time Junior Security Engineer will monitor and respond to SOC alerts, manage email and endpoint security platforms, conduct basic log analysis, and support the vulnerability management program while working remotely from within the United States.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and triage SOC alerts, investigating and escalating threats according to established procedures
• Manage the security ticket queue, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders
• Administer the email security platform, handling policy configuration, phishing investigations, and ongoing tuning

Required qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a security, IT, or systems administration role, including relevant internships
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment
• Basic understanding of common attack techniques and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk
