Job Summary
Enthusiastic and growth-oriented, the full-time Junior Software Application Developer will support the Department of Homeland Security by writing maintainable code, debugging software defects, and collaborating with senior developers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in writing and refactoring software code for web and desktop applications
- Partner with QA and Business Analysts to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
- Implement industry-standard coding conventions and learn cloud deployment strategies in AWS
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of software development experience (professional or internship-level)
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a completed Software Development Certificate in lieu of degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
