Junior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Cloud Infrastructure & Platform team, the full-time Junior Software Engineer will develop and enhance backend services, support cloud operations, and build internal tooling while working remotely from anywhere in Mexico with occasional travel to Tijuana or San Jose.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features on existing backend services and cloud infrastructure
• Support operations by monitoring, triaging, and resolving platform and service incidents
• Build internal tooling and automation to improve team efficiency and system reliability

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on software engineering experience (internship experience counts)
• Experience with Java (Spring Boot, Maven) or a comparable backend language and framework
• Working knowledge of at least a few AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Jenkins, or equivalent)
• Proven track record of fast learning and independently picking up new tools and systems
