Junior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Junior Software Engineer - Security Release Engineering will develop automation, integrations, and secure delivery tooling while working remotely to enhance developer experience and strengthen software supply chain security.
Key responsibilities
- Build software solutions and automation to streamline security and release engineering processes
- Develop integrations across developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and application security tools
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for application and platform deployments in Kubernetes environments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Hands-on software development or automation experience using JavaScript and Python
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (Secure SDLC) methodologies and DevSecOps principles
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for investigating software build and deployment issues
