Junior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Junior Software Engineer will build and operate backend services and APIs for weather data, implement features and bug fixes, and collaborate closely with senior engineers to enhance their skills and contribute to the platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement well-scoped features, API endpoints, and user-facing interfaces across backend services and web front end
- Write automated tests and participate actively in code reviews to ensure code quality
- Work with relational databases, including writing queries and authoring schema migrations
Required qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience or relevant educational background
- A degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language, with an interest in C# and .NET
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database fundamentals
- Experience with Git and a pull-request-based workflow in GitHub
