Job Summary
Providing administrative and technical support for program and project development, the part-time Junior Technical Specialist will assist with activities related to food security, climate change, and environmental sustainability while working remotely for a duration of 11 months.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of activities related to food security and nutrition, climate change, and environmental sustainability
- Conduct desk research to justify proposed intervention actions for projects and maintain communication with project teams
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of reports for submission to donors and coordinate awareness-building sessions with partners
Required qualifications
- Advanced University degree in international relations, development studies, climate change, agriculture, environmental sciences, or related disciplines; or a bachelor's degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- At least 1 year of progressive professional experience in development projects focused on climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, or sustainable agriculture
- Working knowledge of English (Level C)
- Computer literacy and strong analytical skills
- Experience with the UN system is considered an asset
