Junior Telecom Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Junior Telecom Engineer to support telecommunications systems for electric utility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications systems
• Support communication infrastructure for SCADA, substations, and control centers
• Participate in network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Basic understanding of telecommunications systems and networking concepts
• Internship or co-op experience in telecommunications or related field preferred
• Familiarity with fiber optic systems or RF communications is a plus
• Exposure to AutoCAD or GIS systems is beneficial
