Job Summary
Supporting the VA's Office of Suicide Prevention, the full-time Junior Trainer will plan, develop, and deliver training programs for VA healthcare staff to enhance their skills in identifying and assisting Veterans at elevated risk.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute instructor-led and web-based training courses aligned with care management protocols
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop targeted workshop and remedial training modules
- Administer training activities within a Learning Management System (LMS) and evaluate training effectiveness
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in training development or instructional design, preferably in a healthcare or government setting
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
- Prior experience with a federal agency or government healthcare client is preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
- Demonstrated proficiency with Learning Management Systems and virtual training delivery platforms
