Junior UI/UX Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Junior UI/UX Designer, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric applications for a Department of Veterans Affairs project, focusing on usability, accessibility, and high availability.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive design solutions
• Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma to communicate design intent
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and ensure accessibility compliance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio
• Strong understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles and Section 508 compliance
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Experience working in Agile environments with iterative development cycles
