Job Summary

To support a Department of Veterans Affairs project, the full-time remote Junior UI/UX Designer will apply Human-Centered Design principles to create user-centric applications that prioritize usability and accessibility.

Key responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive design solutions
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools such as Figma to communicate design intent
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and support accessibility compliance
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio
  • Strong understanding of Human-Centered Design principles and accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Experience working in Agile environments with iterative development cycles
