Junior Underwriter

Job Summary

Providing technical expertise in evaluating new business and renewals, the full-time remote Junior Underwriter will manage the underwriting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of proposals while developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee production to ensure timely and accurate completion of renewals and proposals
• Review renewal and new business proposals to align with company objectives and solutions
• Develop relationships with key constituents to influence risk management and pricing decisions

Required qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of underwriting experience with progressive responsibilities
• General knowledge of self-funded and fully-insured markets
• Ability to balance judgment, analytical skills, and creative thinking
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Exposure to the Ugan underwriting system and SalesForce is a plus
