K 12 Special Education Substitute Teacher

Job Summary

A company in the Education industry is looking for a K-12 Special Education Substitute Teacher.

Position Responsibilities

• Consult with students, Learning Coaches and school personnel to ensure successful completion of the instructional program
• Act as teacher of record at various Connections Academy schools during short- or long-term absences or vacancies
• Write and deliver IEPs, and provide direct services as directed by the school

Required Qualifications

• Highly qualified and certified as a special educator in any state
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Ability to write and monitor IEP plans, and are willing to learn to do so using a variety of software
• Understanding of IEP/504 plans and how they can be implemented in a virtual setting
• Strong technology skills (experience with learning management systems, Microsoft Office programs, and Google Apps preferred)
