K-6 Certified Tutor Monitor

Job Summary

To support a growing tutoring program, the part-time hourly K-6 Certified Tutor Monitor will monitor live tutoring sessions, respond to emergencies and technical issues, and step in to teach as needed, all while working remotely and being compensated for availability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring daily tutoring session logins and flagging issues in real time
• Responding to tutor emergencies and no-shows, including stepping in to deliver tutoring sessions as needed
• Providing technical support to tutors on an as-needed basis

Required qualifications

• Current or expired K-6 teaching certification
• K-6 classroom teaching experience with a focus on reading
• Strong grounding in the Science of Reading: phonics, structured literacy, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension instruction
• Available Monday-Thursday during daytime hours for 8-20 hours per week
• Reliable computer with camera and microphone, high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace
