K-8 Professional Learning Facilitator

Job Summary

To support a high-impact professional learning experience, the part-time contractor K-8 Professional Learning Facilitator will lead engaging sessions for teachers and school leaders in the School District of Philadelphia, focusing on the implementation of high-quality instructional materials in mathematics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead professional learning sessions that strengthen educators' implementation of mathematics activities
• Facilitate effective learning phases that center student thinking and promote meaningful discourse
• Support participants in planning processes to anticipate instructional connections across activities and units

Required qualifications

• Experience facilitating professional learning for teachers, instructional coaches, or school leaders
• Strong knowledge of high-quality mathematics instruction, preferably in grades K-8
• Familiarity with the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
• Ability to create engaging, collaborative, and practice-based learning experiences
