Kafka Administrator/Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Kafka Administrator/Developer will install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters while designing event-driven architectures and ensuring security compliance, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Install and maintain Apache Kafka clusters, managing brokers, topics, and replication
• Design event-driven architectures and develop Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data processing
• Implement security features and ensure compliance with relevant standards while integrating Kafka with API gateways

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience with Confluent Kafka administration and development
• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS MSK or Azure Event Hubs for Kafka
• Strong Linux and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
