Kafka Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Kafka Platform Engineer, an experienced professional in a full-time remote role, is responsible for architecting, deploying, and operating large-scale Apache Kafka and Confluent platform environments to support mission-critical event-driven workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate large-scale Apache Kafka or Confluent Platform clusters
• Implement strong security measures and operate various Kafka components in production
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Five or more years of experience operating Apache Kafka or Confluent Platform in production
• Deep knowledge of Kafka internals and strong experience with Kafka security
• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and HA/DR strategies
• Strong scripting skills and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
