Job Summary
Working remotely as a full-time hourly Kannada Language Specialist, the candidate will review AI-generated Kannada content and create high-quality reference materials, ensuring accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness while providing detailed feedback.
Key responsibilities
- Review and quality-check existing translations of English science benchmark questions in Kannada, focusing on accuracy and faithfulness to the source
- Assess AI-generated corrections against original translations, selecting appropriate outcomes and providing brief review comments
- Evaluate language quality, grammar, and cultural relevance, ensuring adherence to guidelines and best practices in Kannada writing
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Kannada/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Kannada with strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1)
- 3+ years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, or related language-focused work
- Deep understanding of Kannada grammar, spelling conventions, and style
- Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, or editorial QA is strongly preferred
