Job Summary
To support strategic advocacy efforts, the full-time Kansas Licensed Advocacy Advisor will provide leadership and technical assistance for nutrition policy initiatives focused on the prenatal-to-three population, collaborating with various stakeholders and managing project metrics remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage nutrition-focused advocacy projects by engaging external organizations and lawmakers to drive policy changes
- Track and report on project metrics to ensure alignment with funder deliverables and maximize impact across teams
- Develop training resources and technical assistance plans to enhance the advocacy skills of external partners and grantees
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
- Experience in government relations and legislative affairs
- Proven skills in coalition building and community organizing
- Strong background in grant management and nutrition policy advocacy
