Job Summary
To support a large national law firm, a Kansas Licensed Asbestos Paralegal will manage docketing, calendaring, and case management functions for a high-volume litigation portfolio in a full-time remote role, requiring occasional in-office presence in specific metropolitan areas.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret incoming case filings, coordinating with supervising attorneys to determine deadlines and calendar entries
- Direct the calendaring team to update the firm's database and ensure accurate entry of case information
- Perform quality control on calendared work, confirming accuracy of entries and updating any changes accordingly
Required qualifications
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent paralegal experience
- One to two years of experience in asbestos litigation or a high-volume litigation portfolio
- Judgment-intensive role requiring exceptional attention to detail
