Kansas Licensed Attorney
Job Summary
Managing a diverse caseload, the full-time Kansas Licensed Attorney will provide strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions while meeting a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct legal analysis of claims and perform extensive legal research and drafting of briefs, memos, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions, while preparing for trials and managing discovery requests
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver strategic legal advice and manage deadlines with independence
Required qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state posted; additional bar admissions are a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant practice group
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
