Job Summary
To support a growing Industrial Design Group, the full-time salaried Kansas Licensed Electrical Engineer will prepare and lead electrical engineering designs for large industrial facilities, collaborating with construction teams and mentoring junior engineers, while working in one of the Kiewit offices or remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and lead electrical engineering designs, including schematics and calculations for EPC and Design Build projects
- Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for medium to large industrial projects, formulating technical specifications and coordinating design efforts
- Utilize ETAP analysis and SmartPlant for system modeling and design, mentoring junior engineers and supporting various project phases
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Professional Engineering License is required
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design for industrial facilities
- Advanced experience with ETAP simulation/analysis and familiarity with SmartPlant or similar software
- Experience with FEED, D/B, EPC designs, and leading electrical projects is necessary
