Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medicare & Medicaid Eligibility Specialist (Advocate).

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in compassionate conversations with members to assist in applying for or retaining Medicaid and Medicare benefits
• Determine eligibility for Medicaid or Low-Income Subsidies by asking relevant questions and explaining regulations in simple terms
• Gather and verify sensitive personal and financial information to ensure accurate enrollment and recertification

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans (SNP) is preferred
• Proficient in navigating multiple software systems and databases
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong critical thinking skills to manage difficult conversations and clarify information
