Job Summary

Empathetic and driven, the remote Kansas Licensed Medicare Eligibility Specialist will engage with members to assist in applying for and retaining Medicaid and Medicare benefits, while managing multiple software systems and adhering to regulatory standards in a structured, performance-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to assist members in applying for or retaining Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, and Low-Income Subsidies
• Determine eligibility for benefits through simple questions and explain complex regulations in an accessible manner
• Gather and verify sensitive personal and financial information to ensure accurate enrollment and recertification

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans is a major plus
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software systems, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong critical thinking skills to manage difficult conversations and clarify information
