Job Summary

Empathetic and driven individuals will find a part-time opportunity as a Kansas Licensed Medicare Specialist, responsible for guiding members through the complexities of Medicaid and Medicare eligibility, making and receiving calls, and ensuring accurate enrollment and recertification in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to assist members in obtaining or retaining Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs
• Determine eligibility for benefits through simple questions and explain complex regulations in an accessible manner
• Gather and verify personal and financial information while adhering to HIPAA and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans (SNP) is a plus
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software systems and databases
• Ability to maintain professionalism and patience during challenging conversations
• Strong critical thinking skills to clarify information and find solutions
