Job Summary
To support a growing closed-door pharmacy, the full-time salaried Kansas Licensed Pharmacist will verify prescriptions, provide patient counseling via phone, and collaborate with prescribers to ensure safe medication dispensing.
Key responsibilities
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide proactive patient counseling on medications, addressing inquiries and ensuring adherence
- Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and manage therapeutic substitutions
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Active Kansas Pharmacy License in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with attention to detail
- Strong technical aptitude for pharmacy management systems and verification platforms
- Bilingual Spanish preferred for patient counseling
