Kansas Licensed Scheduler

Job Summary

To support patient scheduling needs, the PRN Kansas Licensed Scheduler will manage incoming calls and fax requests to schedule outpatient tests, complete pre-registration for patients, and ensure valid provider orders are obtained, with shifts scheduled for 5 times in a 6-week period and remote work available for residents of Kansas or Colorado.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests
• Complete pre-registration of scheduled patients and verify provider orders
• Provide coverage for call-offs and vacations as needed within the PRN schedule

Required qualifications

• 1 year of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience preferred
• Office experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-9 codes preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
