Kansas Medicaid Eligibility Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility for medical assistance
• Enter household information and authorize eligibility in the Kansas Economic and Enforcement System (KEES)
• Make outbound calls to verify or obtain missing information when necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
• Strong computer skills and experience with complex software systems
• Excellent data entry skills, with the ability to type 28-30 words per minute accurately
• Knowledge of Medicaid and managed care programs is preferred
• Minimum of two years' experience in eligibility determination for medical programs
