Kentucky Certified Appeals Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Appeals Coder, Remote, 8:00a-4:30p.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and appeal unpaid claims daily
• Work with insurance carriers on appeal issues and follow up on appealed claims
• Provide feedback to the coding department regarding coding errors or updates

Required Qualifications

• High School education or GED required
• Must have and maintain Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent certification
• 3 years of prior coding experience preferred
• Prior experience working with medical insurance
