Job Summary
To support efficient clinic operations, the remote Patient Services Representative - Kentucky Certified Medical Assistant will manage patient communications, schedule appointments, and handle sensitive patient information while adhering to healthcare protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls, directing patient access to appropriate providers and scheduling appointments
- Process patient information, including demographics, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations
- Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and coordinate with healthcare providers
Required qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED with experience in computer systems and web-based applications
- Minimum of two years experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume contact center
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMCA, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
