Job Summary

To ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations, the full-time Kentucky Certified Medical Assistant will manage phone customer service, handle patient information, and support various administrative tasks while working remotely with occasional onsite training or meetings.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage high volumes of incoming calls, scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers while adhering to department guidelines
  • Process patient information, including demographics, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and coordinate with ordering physicians' offices
Required qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED with experience in computer systems, including web-based applications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume contact center
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMCA, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent) is required
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire
