Job Summary
Managing the appeal of unpaid claims, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Appeals Coder will work remotely from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating with insurance carriers and ensuring accurate claim resolutions.
Key responsibilities
- Review and appeal unpaid claims on a daily basis
- Work with insurance carriers to resolve appeal issues and provide feedback to the coding department
- Ensure accurate payment by reviewing remits and denials for accuracy
Required qualifications
- High School education or GED required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through AAPC or CCA, CCS, or CCS-P certification through AHIMA required
- Preferred 3 years of prior coding experience
- Experience working with medical insurance
