Job Summary
Managing the appeal of unpaid claims, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Appeals Coder will work remotely from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, collaborating with insurance carriers to resolve claims and providing feedback on coding errors.
Key responsibilities
- Review and appeal unpaid claims daily
- Work with insurance carriers on appeal issues and ensure accurate payment is received
- Provide feedback to the coding department regarding coding errors or updates
Required qualifications
- High School education or GED required
- Must have and maintain Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or CCA, CCS, or CCS-P certification
- 3 years of prior coding experience preferred
- Prior experience working with medical insurance
