Kentucky Licensed Coder Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Associate to provide professional billing and coding services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform highly technical professional billing and coding while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines
• Correlate multispecialty coding and maintain excellent working relationships with customers
• Manage continuing education credits to maintain required credentials

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• At least one year of paid, full-time medical coding experience
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice (CPC-A), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) certification required
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
• Some job-related travel may be required (less than 10% of time)
