Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I Hospitalist, Remote, 8:00a-4:30p.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abstracts information from service documentation and assigns appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCs codes
  • Reviews and resolves coding denials and completes charge sessions in a timely manner
  • Maintains compliance with coding regulations and communicates with office managers and providers
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
  • One to four (1-4) years of physician coding experience (preferred)
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accreditation (required)
  • Certification as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Assistant (CCA) (required)
  • Knowledge of medical records coding concepts and documentation requirements
