Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I Hospitalist, Remote, 8:00a-4:30p.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstracts information from service documentation and assigns appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCs codes
• Reviews and resolves coding denials while ensuring compliance with established guidelines
• Completes documentation and coding tasks in a timely manner, meeting organizational standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
• One to four (1-4) years of physician coding experience (preferred)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accredited by the AAPC (required)
• Certification as CCS, CCS-P, or CCA accredited by AHIMA (required)
• Knowledge of medical records coding concepts, practices, and documentation requirements
