Job Summary

A company is looking for a Team Lead Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for the HIM Coding Team, addressing coding questions and assisting with physician queries
• Onboard and train new associates in coding and abstracting rules, while monitoring coder accuracy and productivity
• Assist with denied claims, coding audits, and coordination of continuing education for coding staff

Required Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent hospital coding experience
• Credentials such as CCS, CPC-H, RHIT, or RHIA
• Minimum of three years of experience in production coding
• Knowledge of ICD/CPT/HCPCS coding systems and prospective payment systems
• Experience with coding audits and compliance software
