Job Summary

To support seamless patient experiences, the part-time Kentucky Licensed Medical Assistant will manage phone customer service, handle patient information, and process referrals and authorizations while working remotely with occasional on-site training or meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high volumes of incoming calls, scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers
• Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and healthcare providers
• Document results and medication requests in the Electronic Health Records system according to established protocols

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with experience in computer systems and web-based applications
• Minimum of two years of experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume contact center
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMCA, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent) upon hire
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire
