Job Summary
To ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Medical Assistant will manage phone customer service, handle patient information, and perform clerical tasks while working remotely with occasional on-site training or meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Manage high volumes of incoming calls, directing patient access by scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers
- Process referrals, authorizations, and pre-registrations while updating patients on the status of their requests
- Document results and medication requests in Electronic Health Records according to department protocols
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with experience in computer systems and web-based applications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume contact center
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMCA, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire
