Job Summary
To ensure seamless patient experiences, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Medical Assistant will manage phone customer service, handle patient information, and support clinic operations while working remotely with occasional onsite training or meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling and canceling patient appointments for multiple providers
- Process referrals, authorizations, and pre-registrations while maintaining accurate patient information
- Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and coordinate with healthcare providers
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with experience in computer systems, including web-based applications
- Minimum of two years' experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume contact center
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMCA, NHA, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
