Job Summary

To support revenue integrity efforts, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Medical Coder will review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and code diagnostic and procedural information for reimbursement using ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
• Query physicians for accurate diagnoses and resolve any ambiguous information to ensure precise coding
• Adhere to organizational documentation policies and coding guidelines to meet established coding standards

Required qualifications

• One year of hospital coding experience in a healthcare setting
• Certification as CCA, CCS, CIC-ICD, COC, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
