Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Outpatient Coder, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results for data abstraction
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes and modifiers for billing and compliance
• Ensure accurate medical coding for various outpatient services and account types

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding
• Experience in outpatient coding, particularly in emergency and surgical services
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
