Job Summary
To support patient-centered care, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Pharmacy Advocate will serve as a liaison for patients and healthcare providers, facilitating access to prescription medications and managing financial audits while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitates optimal drug therapy by acting as a patient advocate and coordinating with healthcare professionals
- Conducts patient interviews to gather necessary information for drug replacement and co-pay assistance programs
- Completes prior authorizations and appeals accurately and promptly while maintaining communication with patients and providers
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
- Three (3) years of experience as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
- Three (3) years of experience in patient access, insurance verification, or medical billing (preferred)
- Registered or eligible to register as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy Examiners (required)
- PTCB certification preferred if working in a retail pharmacy setting (time will be given to obtain if needed)
