Job Summary
Providing legal counsel and support for Pharmacy operations, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Pharmacy Attorney will ensure compliance with federal and state laws, manage litigation, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to mitigate risks associated with pharmacy benefits coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and advise on legal issues impacting Pharmacy Operations to support informed decision-making
- Provide timely legal reviews and advice, including communication with external parties for recovery efforts
- Monitor and interpret laws and regulations, providing training to Pharmacy staff on compliance and emerging trends
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with an active Kentucky license to practice law
- 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or insurance law
- Familiarity with COB processes and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ERISA, CMS guidelines)
- Willingness to engage in settlement negotiations and litigation management
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
