Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Kentucky Licensed Radiation Oncology Coder will abstract and assign valid CPT, ICD-10, HCPCs, and modifiers to ensure appropriate reimbursement while identifying compliance concerns and trends.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract and assign coding for CPT, ICD-10, HCPCs, and modifiers to ensure accurate billing
- Identify compliance concerns and trends, providing education opportunities for proper coding practices
- Work independently with limited oversight, seeking direction on complex cases as needed
Required qualifications
- Current Kentucky licensure as a Radiation Oncology Coder
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPC coding standards
- Experience in billing and coding within a healthcare setting
- Ability to work independently and manage complex coding tasks
- Knowledge of federal, state, and private health plan regulations
