Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Kentucky Licensed Radiology Coder will abstract and assign valid CPT, ICD-10, and HCPC codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement while meeting established guidelines and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately abstract information and assign appropriate codes into billing systems, ensuring compliance with guidelines
- Review and resolve coding denials while maintaining timely completion of charge sessions in assigned work queues
- Participate in special projects and maintain daily communication with office managers and providers
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
- One to four years of physician coding experience (preferred)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accredited by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) (required)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based (CCS-P), or Certified Coding Assistant (CCA) accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) (required)
